The basis of this sculpture consists of a 200-year-old yoke that was formerly used in agricultural work. Usually they were oxen and sometimes horses that were connected like Siamese twins by the yoke. It was made of French oak at the time and sawn and gushed on the core of the trunk. The forces associated with the heavy beasts and plowing in the country required the strongest wood available. The wood has now almost petrified so hard. Bringing the yoke into a vertical position creates a graceful appearance relative to the old basal robust tool in its original horizontal shape. The yoke is assembled with stoneware, bronze, porcelain with a 22 carat gold luster. The three birds are cast in bronze. An agricultural tool transformed into an elegant composition of unpretentious ceramic art forms. Looking back in gratitude to the hard work that took place in southwest France in the 18th century.
